After being badgered by a reporter from Phoenix TV on Monday, April 6, President Trump pushed back and asked her if she worked for the Chinese Communist Party.
During Monday’s press briefing, reporter Youyou Wang stated the CCP and Chinese owned companies like Huawei and Alibaba have been donating supplies to the United States to help in the fight against the CCP Virus that has infected 209 countries and territories around the globe.
The president told her, “It’s a statement more than a question,” and then he talked about the massive trade deficit between the two superpowers, as reported by the Daily Caller.
The reporter interrupted, asking the president: “Are you cooperating with China?”
The president replied with a question of his own, “Who are you working for, China?”
Youyou Wang replied she works for Phoenix TV.
“Who owns that, China? Is it owned by China? Is it owned by the state?” President Trump pressed.
“It’s a private company,” the reporter replied.
Phoenix TV is Chinese propaganda. Their main investor is Chinese state-owned China Mobile.

According to the Hoover Institution, Phoenix TV is a “quasi-official” news outlet with links to the Chinese regime’s Ministry of State Security. While Phoenix TV is not wholly owned by the Chinese regime, its content strongly aligns with Beijing.
CCTV reportedly holds a 10 percent stake in Phoenix, and according to Freedom House is owned by a former military official who is connected to Beijing.
“Phoenix TV’s coverage is typically favorable to the CCP [Chinese Communist Party],” the report said. “Moreover, over the past two years, it has been used as an outlet for airing televised confessions by various detained CCP critics, most notably all five Hong Kong booksellers abducted by Chinese security forces in late 2015.”
The People’s Daily, the official mouthpiece of the CCP has been pushing out propaganda in an attempt to push the blame for the CCP Virus to the United States and other countries. On March 13, People’s Daily published a story based on tweets from Chinese Foreign Minister Lijian Zhao alleging that the U.S. military spread coronavirus in China. “It might be U.S. Army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan,” Zhao tweeted.
The world has woken from its slumber, and now sees the CCP for what it is. There is no place left for them to hide. They must be held accountable.
