One of the former president’s lawyers threw down the gauntlet to a controversial Republican from Wyoming who claims the last presidential election was fair.
Jenna Ellis used social media to challenge Rep. Liz Cheney on May 3 to join a live debate about the integrity of the November election.
“If you have the guts to debate me on this, name the time and place,” the senior legal adviser to Donald Trump’s campaign said on Twitter.
Ellis accused the House Republican Conference chairwoman of deliberately spreading false and misleading information about the Democratic Party fairly winning the presidential race.
“You know THEY [Democrats] poisoned the system, and R[epublican]s were spineless to hold them accountable,” the attorney said.
The remarks came in response to Cheney’s earlier statement that the 2020 presidential election was “not stolen.”
“Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system,” she said on Twitter.
Ellis categorically rejected any such “big lie” exists and stressed election officials broke multiple rules in several states before Election Day on Nov. 3. She described their professional conduct as fraudulent.
“Election officials in at least six states violated the law in the administration of the 2020 election,” she said on Twitter. “That is called cheating.”

The daughter of 46th Vice President Dick Cheney, from the George W. Bush administration, had still not responded to the invitation for a live debate at the time of publication.
Although several courts refused to hear the Trump 2020 campaign’s arguments, Ellis still believes there is a strong case that every American deserves to hear.
The attorney revealed the Trump legal team provided more than enough evidence to state legislators in six states, with detailed examples of exactly how state officials allegedly broke election laws and tainted the selection of electoral delegates.
“Liz Cheney participated in exactly ZERO of the legislative hearings, did not sign on to the Texas versus Pennsylvania suit, and never contacted us to learn the facts for herself,” she told PJ Media.
Ellis previously joined multiple state election fraud hearings and defended the rule of law. She maintains she “saw the evidence” and can “back up” her argument with facts.
“If Rep. Cheney is not just trying to mislead the American people, she will have no problem presenting her argument and debating me,” she told the publication. “The American people deserve Congress members who are truthful, not political opportunists.”
She believes many Americans should realize the Republican-led legislatures in Arizona and Georgia failed to do their constitutionally mandated duty to protect the Electoral College process from corruption. She believes Democrats in Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin should also have to uphold their constitutional obligations.
“Liz Cheney is simply providing them political cover at [the] expense of our Republic instead of upholding her oath of office,” she said.
