Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, made strong statements against the Biden administration, especially regarding its concrete actions to try to stop the growth and expansion of the Chinese regime in the world.
Pompeo was interviewed by the editor-in-chief of the conservative portal Breitbart News, Alex Marlow, on July 19, before the annual Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, and was forceful in his message against the Biden administration, whom he accused of not fulfilling the responsibility of the U.S. government to try to limit the excessive growth of authoritarian regimes, such as Chinese communism.
Both the journalist and the former Secretary of State concluded that the Chinese communist regime would continue to advance if the United States does not press and deepen its alliances to stop it.
In this sense, Pompeo assured that the Biden administration “has done nothing to counter China.”
Taking as an example the case of the controversial Wuhan laboratory, from where the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus, which is causing so many losses to the world, would have escaped, Pompeo said:
“Don’t forget, that [Wuhan] lab is still open. That lab is still conducting viral research. It won’t surprise me at all if the military is still inside that lab.”
As a suggestion, Pompeo opined that minimally the U.S. government should push for this lab to be closed, considering that “this is the place where the virus probably escaped.” This, the Democratic administration, is definitely not doing.
Pompeo also highlighted the work done during the Trump era, precisely in terms of carrying out actions, deepening alliances, and generating strategies to manage to limit the unbridled growth of the communist regime by developing a global economic system based on freedom and values.
“There was much more to do,” Pompeo continued. “We got off to a good start, we made good progress, we built coalitions around the world; everyone understands that communist tyranny in China imposed this virus on the world.”
Pompeo clearly sees it as very important to raise awareness of the danger to the entire world that a tyranny like the CCP’s is growing unchecked as it is, while dozens of countries were severely weakened after more than a year of pandemic, health, and economic crisis.
Last week, in an interview on Fox News, Pompeo told Maria Bartiromo on ‘Sunday Morning Futures,’ “The Chinese Communist Party presents the single greatest threat to the United States of America from external forces, bar none. We need to mount a sustained, serious campaign to push back against them. This is doable.”
“We do not want to live in a world dominated by the Chinese Communist Party,” Pompeo continued while inviting President Biden to use his leadership to continue the path set by the Trump administration and “engage in serious confrontation and impose real costs on the Communist Party.”
The softness with which Biden is conducting his relations with the CCP are beginning to be a recurring criticism from his opponents.
An example of Biden’s lightness in reacting to the Chinese regime’s outrages is the recent cyber-attack. The White House, along with other Western allies on Monday, formally accused the Chinese communist regime of carrying out a massive cyber-attack, which included the Microsoft Exchange e-mail server. However, the accusations did not include any formal retaliation for the aberrant acts beyond words of repudiation, as reported by The BL.
