The first female accuser to testify Tuesday against Ghislaine Maxwell under the name “Jane” in the trial that began Monday, Nov. 29, revealed harrowing details she experienced as a 14-year-old at the pedophile Epstein’s mansions and testified that the Briton often witnessed the abuse, and participated on some occasions.

In the trial being held in a Manhattan federal court, Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-partner is accused of trafficking children to abuse them sexually.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Pomerantz delivered the prosecution’s opening statement Monday, asserting that Maxwell and Epstein worked in complicity by luring girls as young as 14 with money and gifts to push them into normalizing the abusive sexual conduct they suffered while participating in “so-called massages.”

Sex offender Epstein, a New York financier who counted Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew among his friends, apparently committed suicide in a New York City jail in August 2019 while awaiting his own sex trafficking trial, while Maxwell, 59, daughter of the late British media mogul Robert Maxwell, was arrested in New Hampshire in July 2020.

Among the four accusers expected to testify at the trial, one woman, identified as Jane, testified Tuesday that she met the abusive couple while eating ice cream at a youth arts camp in Michigan, where Epstein was a benefactor, according to The Guardian.

According to the woman, when they learned that she was from Palm Beach, had recently lost her father to an illness and that her family was bankrupt as a result, Epstein offered to ‘help’ her and her mother as a kind of mentor.

They soon received an invitation to the pedophile’s mansion. As ‘Jane’ recounted, her mother was impressed by the life of luxury they led and felt that the couple must think their daughter was special.

From there, Epstein and Maxwell took the young girl shopping for clothes, gave her gifts, and began to pretend they had an interest in her life story, but it was all to set her up for abuse.

Jane said the first time Epstein abused her was at his Palm Beach mansion.

“He said: I know everybody, I know all the agents, I know all the photographers, I know the owner of Victoria’s Secret, so I can make things happen, but you’ve just got to be ready for it,” Jane recounted, after which he abruptly grabbed her hand and said, “Follow me.”

“He took me in the pool house and, on the right hand side was this couch, futon-looking thing, and he just proceeded to pull me over. He sat in the corner and didn’t say a word,” Jane testified.

She recounted that Epstein pulled his pants down. “He pulled me on top of himself, and proceeded to masturbate on me…” “I was frozen in fear. I’d never seen a penis before,” she said in her testimony.

For three years, Jane was abused by Epstein when she was 14, 15, and 16 years old. According to what she testified, they took place every two weeks or so, and on several occasions, Maxwell was in the room during the abuse and touched her breasts.

“There were hands everywhere,” Jane said of one encounter with Epstein and Maxwell. Jane described having group sexual encounters with Epstein, Maxwell, and others.

The British socialite’s defense attorney, Laura Menninger, immediately attacked the witness’ credibility, asking why she waited more than 20 years to report Maxwell’s alleged abuse.

“Because how do you tell or describe any of this to any one of your peers or your siblings when all you feel is shame and disgust and confusion and you don’t even know how you ended up there?” replied Jane as indicated by CNN.

Further clarifying that her silence was due in part to her mother discouraging her from speaking out. “My mom was so enamored with the idea that these wealthy, affluent people took an interest in me,” she stated.

Preceding Jane’s testimony Tuesday, Epstein’s private jet pilot Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. claimed that Maxwell “was No. 2” while “Epstein was the big No. 1,” in answering Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey’s question about where the Briton stood hierarchically in Epstein’s world.
