An elderly New Yorker became hospitalized after four suspects beat her with a saucepan on July 20. The group also helped themselves to $22 from her purse and even took her walker.
New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for three females and one male, who allegedly attacked a disabled 61-year-old woman in Harlem.
Surveillance footage shows one of the women pushing the victim to the ground about 8:20 p.m. at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 151 Street.
Another woman runs up and strikes the elderly woman at least eight times. The victim is then dragging on the pavement and her right arm twisted to keep her on the ground. A third suspect kicks the victim while a male stands by.
“I was just walking, then I just stood there … [and] one of them just came and punched me,” she said according to CBSN New York. “They had me on the ground, holding my neck, and pulling my hair.”
The group only backed off after the victim used a screwdriver to repeatedly stab them.
“They had me on the ground, and I started stabbing them,” she said according to the broadcaster.
