Host Tucker Carlson continues to distance himself from the rest of the mainstream media by standing firm to his conservative and anti-globalist views.
This time, on Friday, May 14, during his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired on Fox News, he reacted to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) new regulation that ends the requirement to wear masks, only for those who have already been vaccinated.
According to Carlson, the issue was a “troubling development” for those whose goal is power, and not necessarily public health.
But why is Carlson concerned about this new measure? Precisely because of the political motivations behind every decision.
For months, TV networks have attacked people who dared to go outside without their masks. You’ve seen the tape of the super spreaders. Some lady was trying to buy oranges in the grocery store in Florida without her mask. You don’t know her name, but you know one thing about her, you know who she voted for, the orange man. She is one of the crazies. She has to be—no mask, Carlson parodied, telling an anecdote that was real.
According to the journalist, in the wake of this new guidance, no one can really know who is being targeted (since Democrats considered all those without masks to be Republicans), and that’s the problem.
“How are we to know who the Republicans are? How can we be sure who to mock? Who to feel morally superior toward?” he asked wryly.
Since blind obedience to the masks was something of a “trademark” for Democrats, Carlson wonders what they will do now. The answer is that they will continue to wear them, as indicated by David Hogg, 21, who announced that he would continue to wear them lest he is mistaken for a “conservative,” as well as a CNN physician (formerly Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen).
“When you wear a surgical mask, even after the doctors have told you not to, everybody is going to know your politics, not to mention your position in our society. You’re in the ruling class. That’s why you can afford to ignore the science and instead adopt a public health precaution as a fashion accessory,” said Carlson.
“It’s like ancient Chinese foot binding that way. It’s a mark of social distinction. When you’re that powerful, you don’t need to walk or in this case breathe,” he added.
After giving other examples of leftists willing to continue wearing the masks even though they are no longer required to do so because they are vaccinated, Carlson went further and questioned the actual effectiveness of the masks. The subject has been well studied, and this presenter is well informed.
“Last year, the peer reviewed journal of the British Medical Association took a look at the effectiveness of cloth masks (…) Surprisingly, there wasn’t a lot of data on their effectiveness. The authors could find only a single randomized clinical study of the subject, in other words, a scientifically valid study. But the results of that study are worth knowing about. It turns out that people who wear cloth masks are at quote, “higher risk” of viral infection than people who don’t wear cloth masks. The masks turned out to be completely ineffective,” he said.
“In testing, cloth masks allowed the penetration of 97% of vapor droplets. But actually, the masks were worse than that; they weren’t just useless; they turned out to be dangerous. They were vectors for disease, quote, “Cloth may become damp and contaminated posing an infection and self-contamination risk,” he added.

Stanford study on facemasks
A Stanford University study published on the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, a branch of the National Institute of Health, revealed that facemasks have no chance of preventing the spread of the CCP (Covid-19) Virus and are instead harmful to health.
The conclusion of the study, which was published not just anywhere but by a government agency, reads as follows:
“The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks.
“Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety, and depression.
“Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.”
Have you seen the dissemination of this study? Well, no, and if you post the link to it on Facebook or Twitter, you will receive censure, saying that this information lacks context and maybe misleading people. As Carlson rightly says, this is not about people’s health; it is about politics.
