A White House official disclosed that the Biden administration is planning to demand that foreign visitors be fully vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus before they enter the United States.
The latest consideration came as the United States was gauging to finally remove travel restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which had stopped international travelers from entering the country, Reuters first reported on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
An official told the outlet, “foreign nationals traveling to the United States (from all countries) need to be fully vaccinated,” adding that very few cases would be granted exceptions.
However, the travel prohibition will not be removed instantly, and the Biden administration is still working out the policies, such as issues with vaccine brands that are not used in the United States or what type of vaccine proof.
The Trump administration implemented the travel ban from China in Jan. 2020 due to the revelation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Until now, more nations have been listed, with India being the latest country to be targeted in May this year.
Aside from the potential vaccination demand, Reuters said the White House was also considering contact tracing with international airline passengers.
While the United States is still tentative with international visitors, the Biden administration was also reported condoning thousands of illegal migrants who got infected with the CCP virus into the country, Breitbart noted.
According to the outlet, this Wednesday alone, more than 1,500 COVID-19 infected illegal migrants were released into the city of McAllen in Texas. The area had seen more than 7,000 COVID-19 positive border crossers released into U.S. territory since February.
Earlier this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) resumed Title 42, which would stop unlawful migrants from entering the United States due to health safety concerns relating to the pandemic, but the law would spare minors.
Biden failed to address a Fox News reporter’s question on why he would allow COVID-positive migrants into the United States, answering vaguely that the treatment would change with child migrants.
“We have not withdrawn the order that is sometimes criticized, saying that unvaccinated people should go back across the border,” he said. “But unaccompanied children is a different story because that is the most humane thing to do, to test them, and to treat them—and not send them back alone.”
The Biden administration is also looking to give illegal migrants the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine before being released into the United States, reported Breitbart.
