On Dec. 28, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, announced a positive nucleic acid test in Jianye District, Nanjing City. This test involved four staff members and a truck driver from the Yangtze River Pilot Center’s Nanjing Pilot Station. After testing, one employee tested positive.
In the morning of Dec. 28, Jiangyin City announced that during the periodic nucleic acid test in Jiangyin City, one sample (ten people per tube) showed one positive and the remaining nine negative.
The positive person is an employee of the Yangtze River Pilot Center.

On Dec. 28, Yunnan province announced that there was one new confirmed case between 0:00 and 24:00 on Dec. 27, and 2 confirmed asymptomatic positive cases in Yunnan. As NTDTV reported, the positive case is in Anning City, a student of Kunming Metallurgical College, and has been infected with the Delta variant virus strain.
As of 10 a.m. on Dec. 28, 21,298 people in the relevant area had undergone the second round of screening and testing; 849 confirmed close contacts.
The asymptomatic positive case in Jinghong City, Yunnan Province, is a laboratory worker. A person in Jinghong City was also diagnosed on Dec. 26.
On Dec. 27, the city of Jinghong announced that from midnight that day, traffic control would be implemented on sections inside and outside the city’s urban area. People in urban areas could not go out unless necessary, except for emergency support facilities and services such as firefighting and emergency services. Other vehicles were temporarily suspended. On the same day, all residents in Jinghong city were tested for nucleic acids.
“JiMu News” reported on Dec. 28 that Mr. Liu, a taxi driver in Jinghong City, said that he was informed at 8 a.m. on Dec. 28 that all taxis had been suspended. On the evening of Dec. 26, they were told to stay indoors for screening tests.
One positive case in Guizhou province
In addition to the two provinces mentioned above, Guizhou also recorded many new cases of infection.
Guizhou announced that on Dec. 27, Tongren Maternal and Child Health Hospital reported that a person returning from Yunnan province to the city had a positive nucleic acid test result.
The patient is a 46-year-old woman currently living in Dong Nhan city. The patient arrived in Jinghong city, Yunnan province, on Dec. 21 and took a direct flight to Tongren airport on Dec. 25. After that, she went outside many times and went to many places such as supermarkets, music stores, etc., music clinics, training facilities, and more.
The epidemic in Mainland China has spread to 16 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government).
Among them, the epidemic in Xi’an is the most serious. Xi’an has been closed since Dec. 23. But from 12:00 on Dec. 27, Xi’an suspended the two-day one-person shopping-out policy. The authorities require all residents to complete nucleic acid sampling and test negative results before proceeding with the initial regulations. The anti-epidemic policy has aroused public outrage.
