As widespread dissatisfaction with top Biden admin. health officials grow both inside and outside the Republican Party. A group of House representatives introduced a bill Wednesday to effectively fire chief U.S. epidemiologist Anthony Fauci on the grounds of “incompetence for the position” of director he has held since 1984 at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) is behind the bill officially titled the Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal of Fauci Act. The bill’s co-sponsors include Representatives Chip Roy (R-Tex.), Andy Biggs, (R-Ariz.), and Ralph Norman (R-S.C. 5).
“Few people have earned their termination more visibly,” Davidson said in a statement to Fox News. “His excessively long tenure is emblematic of Eisenhower’s farewell address caution against scientific-technical elite steering the country for their own ends—at odds with truth and the national interest.”
Should the bill pass, it would impose a 12-year term limit on the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the position officially held by Fauci since 1984 without interruption. If it becomes law, he would be forced out of his job.
The bill has two clear objectives: on the one hand, to prevent NIAID directors from perpetuating themselves in power in the future, as Fauci has done during these years, but secondly, there is a clear intention to eliminate Fauci from any public position related to health, due to his criticized role during the entire pandemic caused by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus.
“In the wake of massive mistakes by Dr. Fauci and his subordinates in the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, this bill addresses an issue that is often overlooked: the lack of accountability of unelected bureaucrats,” says a statement from Davidson’s office making clear reference to Dr. Fauci.
While it is unlikely that the bill will pass, it would need acceptance from a certain number of Democrats. However, the initiative reflects and materializes an enormous frustration with Fauci, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other Biden administration health officials and agencies over their handling of the pandemic and their increasingly notorious intention to spread fear in society over rationality and sanity.
The statement released by Davidson’s office goes on to say: “Under Dr. Fauci’s leadership, Americans have lost confidence in the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, leading to confusion and serious government overreach that has threatened Americans’ livelihoods and freedoms.”
The statement closes by criticizing Fauci and his team of collaborators for recommending that citizens continue to act as if the pandemic is out of control when in truth, the number of cases has declined markedly. After having implemented for almost a year “draconian public health policies” that have only served to destroy the economy without generating positive effects against the pandemic.
