According to Bloomberg, a local case detected on June 18 in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, led to mass testing and lockdowns in some parts of the technology hub in southern China.
On June 23, a student at Jingbei Elementary School in Shenzhen’s Luohu district tested positive for COVID. That night, more than 500 students from the primary school were transferred to quarantine sites. [Video 1]

On the evening of June 18, a large number of epidemic prevention and control workers gathered at Xiangxi Village, Shenzhen City. The video’s caption said that the staff was there to seal the village.
